Tips, answers, and guides for Perlerbeads Studio
Getting Started
How do I start a new bead pattern?
Open the Bead Studio and either upload your own image (PNG, JPG, GIF, WEBP) or pick a preset from the gallery. The editor converts your image into a bead grid automatically.
What grid sizes are supported?
Grids from 8×8 up to 120×120 are supported. Beginners usually start with 20×20 to 40×40. Larger grids keep more detail but require more beads.
How do I export my pattern?
Click the Download button in the toolbar. You can export a plain PNG or a version with grid coordinates and a color legend for easier assembly.
Can I use the editor on mobile?
Yes. The editor supports touch input on phones and tablets, including pinch-to-zoom and draw gestures.
Is there a limit on how many patterns I can make?
No. There are no limits, no sign-up required, and no watermarks. The tool is completely free.
How do I use the fill (bucket) tool?
Select the Fill tool from the toolbar (or press G), then click any cell to flood-fill that color region with the selected color.
How do I count how many beads I need?
Click the Count Beads button in the toolbar. A panel will show you the exact bead count per color.
What happens if I close the browser?
The editor does not save automatically. Download your pattern before closing the browser tab.
